From an early age, chickens have been a part of my life. I had to take responsibility in raising, cleaning, feeding, watering my chickens from the time my parents bought them for me. I was made to keep track of all of the expenses of my chickens and would pay for them by selling their eggs to my teachers at my grade school.
They say chickens are the gateway animal and they, whoever they are, could not have been more right! Our chickens turned into turkeys, horses, cows, ducks and meat birds. Buyer beware! :)
